Das "DEZ" wurde 1970 als erstes Einkaufszentrum Österreichs am Stadtrand Innsbrucks eröffnet und hat seither eine einmalige Erfolgsgeschichte absolviert. Heute zählt das DEZ täglich rund 25.000 Besucher.
Mit einer Verkaufsfläche von insgesamt 33.216 Quadratmeter und 146 Shops zählt das DEZ zu den "Besten im Westen".
