General information

Der Planet5 am Sihlquai ist ein Lokal, das Jugendlichen und jungen Erwachsenen (14 - 25 Jahren) aus der Stadt Zürich und Region für die Durchführung von partizipativ organisierten Veranstaltungen offen steht. Das Programm wird also nicht durch die OJA, sondern durch Jugendliche und junge Erwachsene bestimmt und mitgestaltet, die sich in ihrer Freizeit freiwillig für jugendkulturelle Events engagieren. Die OJA und der Planet5 buchen keine Bands für Konzerte.

Die Jugendlichen und jungen Erwachsenen werden bei der Planung, Durchführung und Auswertung der Events durch die beiden Einrichtungen OJA Kreis 5 und OJA Kreis 6 & Wipkingen unterstützt. Der Raum ist mit einer Bühne, Konzerttechnik, Lichteffekte und einer Bar ausgestattet und eignet sich für Konzertanlässe oder Partys bis maximal 250 Personen.

Die Räumlichkeiten sind ausschliesslich für nichtgewinnorientierte Veranstaltungen vorgesehen und werden von der OJA nicht für private Anlässe vermietet (Geburstagspartys, Hochzeiten usw.). Die Räumlichkeiten können jedoch unter der Woche für Tanztrainings, Kurse, Sitzungen oder Seminare gemietet werden.

Lärmschutzbestimmungen:
Die Erfahrungswerte bei Konzerten im Planet5 haben zur Regelung geführt, dass Spielzeiten auf 40 Minuten pro Set mit anschliessender Pause von 20 Minuten eingehalten werden müssen, damit die gesetzlichen Vorgaben von max. 100 dB(A) bei Konzerten – bzw. 96 dB(A) bei Parties – bzw. 93 dB(A) bei einem Publikum unter 16 Jahren – eingehalten werden können.

Der Planet5 bietet in erster Linie eine Plattform für junge VeranstalterInnen und KünstlerInnen aus der Region und ist NICHT als Konzert-, bzw. Partylokal für internationale und professionelle Acts gedacht.

Located at Sihlquai, the Planet5 is an establishment for teenagers and young adolescence (14 – 25 years of age) in the city or region of Zurich to perform participative organized events. The program is set up not by OJA itself, but by young adolescence who voluntarily use their free time to engage in organizing youth cultural events. The OJA and Planet5 will not book bands for concerts.

The two facilities of OJA district 5 and 6 and Wipkingen support the teenagers and young adolescents with the planning, execution and analysis of the event. The room is equipped with a concert stage, technical support, light systems and a bar and is therefore ideal for concert venues or parties for up to 250 visitors.

The premises are exclusively designated to nonprofit oriented activities and will not be rented out for private occasions (birthday parties, weddings etc.). However we do accommodate for dancing lessons, courses, meetings or seminars during the week.

Noise protection requirements:
Experiences with concerts at Planet5 have led us to the following regulation: playing times will be held at 40 minutes per set following a 20 minute break in order to meet the legal requirements of max. 100 dB (A) for concerts – respectively 96 dB (A) for parties – resp. 93 dB (A) for audiences below 16 years of age.

Primarily Planet5 offers a platform for young event managers and artists from the region and is not designed as concert, resp. party premise for international and professional acts.
