Jau vairāk nekā 100 gadus divas ģimenes veido uzņēmumus: šīs ģimenes ir Miele un Zinkann.
1899. gadā Hercebrokā ar vienpadsmit līdzstrādniekiem, četrām virpām un vienu urbjmašīnu tehniķis Karls Miele un tirgotājs Reinhards Zinkans izveidoja uzņēmumu krejošanas mašīnu ražošanai. Viņu vadošais sauklis kļuva par uzņēmuma filozofiju: „Immer Besser”.
