General information

The Space

In our studio type cottages with a bathroom, functional kitchen and lounge with sofa bed, you can easily sleep a couple and two children or 2 couples.

Supported by cross beams and accessed by a staircase, the mezzanine level offers an effective solution to increase floor space within the house and constructs an extra room necessary for sleep. Futon bed (2 quality mattresses 100x200cm each) on the mezzanine level can be split to accommodate singles that are sharing. Two powerful & quiet wall mounted extractor fans (26 dB and 13 dB) care for fresh air intake under the roof and room ventilation.

The tiny bathroom (2.6 m2) with shower cabin (90 cm), sink and WC has all the things that you need in a bathroom.

In the lounge area there is a coffee table and a completely equipped kitchen. Relax in sofa and choose among more than 40 international channels offered by Lattelecom cable TV. In case of rainy day there are mini library and many table games available (playing cards, monopoly, circus etc.)

Each cottage has its own parking for 2 cars and a vast private territory with seating and dining area.

Laptop users will certainly appreciate electric outlet on the front porch. Free WiFi is available both indoor and outdoor and covers whole area.

Guest Access

The total green territory which stays at your disposal and is bordered by Age river and a small quiet local street is about 1500 m2. It is divided into several parts keeping in mind both privacy and different interests of the guests.

Barbeque fans will love our quality grill as well as big open air fire pit with sitting area, dartboard and badminton. There are also other sitting/relaxing areas available throughout the territory. Feel free to use any of our sun chairs, sun lounges or hammocks and enjoy the sounds of nature.

Shared facilities include an auxiliary room with all necessary laundry accessories (washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, ironing board, iron, vacuum cleaner etc. ) It is situated on the back porch of 1st cottage, and can be used out of quiet/sleeping hours.

For fishing fans there is a choice between the river and private fishing pond within 15 minutes walk.

Children will like our sand box and trampoline. For the small ones there is a toy box available inside each cottage.

Interaction with Guests

We live in a private house over the street and are available at any time. Each guest will be personally welcomed.

The Neighborhood

With excellent road, rail and bus links, our location provide a perfect base for exploring the Vidzeme Seaside and Gauja National Park, as well as cosy stop over on transit to neighboring country Estonia.

Whether you would prefer to relax in your cottage or outdoors to see the day to day running of local life or explore the local area, pick berries and mushrooms in the woods or fish in the river, listen and watch different birds, go for sunbath at the seaside or observe beautiful sunsets bathing in our hot tube (coming soon), there is ample for you to do whilst on your stay.

To reach the seaside will take you 7 minutes drive, 15 minutes cycle or 30 minutes leisurely walk. The same for supermarket. Those, who like fresh, organic food from local peasants and artisan craftwork are welcome to visit our local goods market on each Saturday from 7-12 a.m in the village center. It takes only 10 minutes by foot.

Knowing your points & areas of interest, we will provide you with brochures and give useful hints of where to go and what to do in our area and neighborhood.

Other Things to Note

Our guests will appreciate our mosquito free area thanks to mosquito trap from Sweden. We have it for 3 seasons and it really works. ;)

House Rules

1. No smoking inside
Smokers are welcome, but please be respectful that smoking is allowed on front porches and outdoors only.

2. No shoes inside
We care a lot about cleanness and this allow you as our guests to enjoy barefoot or socks on natural wooden floors and carpets.

3. Access for registered and paid guests only - for safety and for security of guests personal possessions as well as cottage inventory, only registered guests may use facilities. There is NOT an open door policy and this means –your guests may NOT enter the territory without specific permission from host.

4. Pets are not allowed
We have nothing against your pets but we do respect allergic guests, too. This means no exceptions, even for our Siberian chipmunk Teo.
