General information
Sala Secondary School is an institution of general education established by Municipality of Sala region. It accomplishes curriculum of elementary education, special general education and general secondary education. School offers a variety of extracurricular activities. School has students with specific needs that are included in everyday work (hearing impairment, speech disorders, and learning disabilities). School has implemented the accommodation project for disabled people in wheelchairs.
Many of our school’s graduates successfully continue studies in different fields in universities, professional higher educational institutions; many of them work in state administration and private entrepreneurship field here in Sala region and also in Riga and other regions in Latvia.
Currently there are 244 students at our school. There are 35 teachers in our school, out of them 29 (83 %) – at full time job; out of them 19 (65 %) – Masters. Principal of the school since study year 2015/2016 is PhD Sanita Madalane
