General information

Liepaja University is one of the oldest Higher Educational Institution in Kurzeme (Latvia). Founded in 1954.
Liepaja University with large experience and academic traditions, where it is possible to study more than 40 study programs and to acquire humanitarian science and art, natural sciences, mathematics and information technologies, business management, pedagogical education and educational sciences, social sciences and social welfare.

We understand the global nature of education, but also take into account regional and national interests. This promotes quality of education and efforts directed to international cooperation.

There are offered international study programs in English such as Computer Science, Physics, Information Technology for Bachelor and Information Technology, New Media Art for Master.

Liepaja University has been awarded the Diploma Supplement label (DS) by the European Commission. The DS Label is valid for 2012 - 2015. The Diploma Supplement, developed by the European Commission, Council of Europe and UNESCO/CEPES is a document attached to a degree certificate.
