General information

In 1927, Jonuz Pernaska, established the first Fashion Salon in Tirana, as a design and production of high quality clothes studio. The styling line, was based on textiles like: silk, tulle, velvet, taffettà and other special garments. The retailers of the salon were located mainly in Italy and France and the textiles were selected personally by Mr. Jonuz.
The salon focused totally on women clothes, uniquely modeled, which reflected class and nobility. The princesses of the Royal family of the time, have been regular clients of the salon.

The activity continued successfuly, growing constantly and being recognized as a quality brand, conveying added value to the final products.

In 1948, with the installation of the communist system, the private sector and the bourgeoisie in Albania got hit. The salon was forced to close, but Jonuz continued designing and producing at home with a limited production, for a particular type of clientele, partly for family friends and partly, for the new elitte of the time.

In 1971, during a trip as a guest to his family in the former Yugoslavia, unexpectedly, Jonuz passed away, leaving behind a precious legacy in fashion. Jenka, the wife of Beli, the oldest son of Jonuz, was his apprentice and she continued the activity in the field of tailoring, unfortunatelly even more limitely, given the conditions that allowed that system.

In 2016, the Pernaska family, decided to continue the heritage, left by the great designer Jonuz Pernaska, reopening the salon, branded as the first Albanian fashion brand, called ONUS (associated with the name of Jonuz and the latin meaning "Obligation") to carry passion and talent in the fashion world, even for the current and future generations.

Në vitin 1927, Jonuz Pernaska, themeloi Sallonin e parë të Modës në Tiranë, si një atelie projektimi dhe prodhimi të konfeksioneve të cilësisë së lartë. Linja e stilimit të ateliesë ishte e bazuar në tekstile si mëndafshi, tyli, krem-kadife, tafta edhe në copa të tjera të veçanta.
Selia e ateliesë ishte e vendosur në zonën e Rrugës së Elbasanit.
Tekstilet zgjidheshin nga vetë Jonuzi dhe vinin kryesisht nga Italia edhe Franca. Atelieja u përqëndrua totalisht në veshje për femra, me modelime të veçanta, që percillnin klas edhe fisnikëri. Gjithashtu, Princeshat e Familjes Mbretërore të kohës, kanë qënë kliente të rregullta të ateliesë.

Aktiviteti vazhdoi me ritme të sukseshme, duke u zgjeruar vazhdimisht dhe duke u njohur si një emër klasi, ku percillej vlerë e shtuar me anë të produkteve finale të realizuara.

Ne vitin 1948, me instalimin e sistemit komunist, aktiviteti privat u ndalua dhe borgjezia në Shqipëri u godit. Atelieja u detyrua të mbyllej zyrtarisht, por Jonuzi e vazhdoi në shtëpinë e tij veprimtarinë të limituar, për një lloj të veçantë klientele, në rrethe miqësore e familjare, si dhe pjesërisht, për parinë e kohës.

Në vitin 1971, gjatë një udhëtimi si vizitor tek familjarët e tij në ish-Jugosllavi, në mënyrë të papritur, Jonuzi ndërroi jetë, duke lënë pas një vepër të çmuar në fushën e Modës. Nusja e shtëpise Jenka, punoi dhe mësoi prej tij, duke ju dedikuar edhe ajo fushës së modës, për kushtet që lejonte ai sistem.

Në vitin 2016, familja Pernaska, vendos të vazhdojë trashëgiminë e lënë nga stilisti i madh Jonuz Pernaska, duke rihapur aktivitetin e modës nën emrin e markës së parë Shqiptare të modës me emrin ONUS (lidhur me vetë emrin e Jonuzit edhe me domethënien "Obligim", "Forcë"), për të përcjellë pasion dhe talent në këtë fushë, për brezat e tanishëm edhe të ardhshëm.
