Η ιατρική εταιρία Medical ID ιδρύθηκε το 2005 στην Αθήνα. Συνεργάζεται με το μεγαλύτερο εργαστήριο των Η.Π.Α. που εξειδικεύεται στις εξετάσεις σάλιου (Diagnos Techs Inc.) και συγκεκριμένα στην μέτρηση των επιπέδων των ελευθέρων ορμονών στους ανθρώπινους ιστούς, με μια απλή και απολύτως ανώδυνη λήψη σάλιου. Η Diagnos Techs Inc. είναι το πρώτο εργαστήριο που εφάρμοσε αυτή την τεχνική η οποία χρησιμοποιείται ευρέως στις Η.Π.Α. εδώ και 20 χρόνια.

Σύμφωνα με τις τελευταίες ιατρικές επιστημονικές έρευνες το σάλιο έχει αποδειχτεί ως το καλύτερο μέσο για να μετρηθούν τα επίπεδα ορμονών στον ανθρώπινο οργανισμό.

Medical ID was founded in 2005 forming its partnership with the biggest laboratory in the USA (Diagnos Techs inc.) in determining the levels of free (bioactive) hormones present in human tissues from a sample of saliva. Diagnos Techs inc. is the first lab in the USA to implement salivary based hormone assessment in everyday clinical practice and is widely used for over 20 years.

Various research performed in this field has shown that saliva is the best medium to determine the levels of hormones in the human organism as it detects only the bioactive form of hormone which is what is important.

Medical ID making use of this technology and knowledge, in a simple and quick way, is able to provide to both men and women a complete and accurate diagnosis in patients with problems due to hormone imbalances. Due to saliva testing being more accurate than the corresponding blood test the actual problem is more effectively diagnosed and treated.
