Talos History

Talos is one of the best-loved legendary characters in the ancient world and one of the most important Greek myths.

Talos was created by Hephaestus the Greek god of fire & iron, with the aid of the Cyclops. He was then given to King Minoa and, according to Plato, was tasked with defending Crete from invaders by circling the island three times daily. There are no traces of walls protecting cities in Crete and this eventually led Evans, the excavator of Knossos, to speak of the famous Minoan peace, the “Pax Minoica”. It seems king Minoa felt secure with his mighty guardian.

The bronze hero Talos, symbolizes technological development in the field of metalworking in prehistoric and Minoan times.

Established in 2011 by 2 avid shooters/collectors/trainers, TALOS Defense Systems L.T.D. is tasked with providing quality defense systems to commercial, military & police clients.

Everyone who works at TALOS Defense Systems, from the owners to the shipping crew, is a shooter first. We absolutely love what we do!

For this reason a dedicated crew reviews and adds new items when found to perform as advertised. If feedback indicates a product is not up to expectations, we pull it.
