Founded in 1988, ECOM Media Group Inc. is a multi-faceted technology/software company that has focused on the online rental industry for homes and apartments across Canada. Our customer is the property manager/owner and our goal has always been to develop and implement programs and the latest cutting edge technology to bring them the renters they seek in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible.

Being an industry leader, ECOM has attracted many of the pioneers and market makers that have seen and experienced the true value of becoming strategic partners. It all began with the relentless commitment to research and software development that has resulted in a sterling reputation and arguably is the strongest and most flexible technology platforms for the online vacancy rental market in Canada and the US.

Our diversification has lead us to support over 150 rental listing websites to accommodate regional differences across North America. These include schools, Industry Associations, and other listings to support our strategic partnerships. They in turn promote ECOM and all its applications at every opportunity.

ECOM is proud of our reputation for supporting multiple associations and industry events for the past 16 years. Richard Brown, co-founder with Jason Leonard, recognized the value of bringing all of his team’s resources and technology to educate not only ECOM’s customers but also to change the perception of his company to being far more than just a listing business.

Innovation has been the success of ECOM having created proprietary intellectual property that provides additional salient data permitting his customers to make better operational decisions based on accurate information regarding how to attract the best renters, what the consumer is looking for, when do they call, and offering detailed reports that are not offered by less expensive options.

ECOM, through its Off Campus Housing 101 product, is the largest off-campus listing service in the US & Canada, having attracted the University of Miami, Cal State, University of Maryland, Georgetown... Their Roommate Finder developed by ECOM has given students the most secure portal for reaching like-minded students and those with common interests. DeVry Education Group, one of America's largest education centers, recently completed an extensive search for a rental listing company that could offer their North American and International schools with the highest level service. ECOM was the winner from over 12 competing companies due to its expertise and passing the most rigorous due diligence process.
