John began making his eclectic, modern/vintage jewelry in London while attending the Slade School of Art. In 1985 he returned to the US and Maximal Art was born. Since then the company has grown to be a trend-setting, internationally recognized brand of affordable, stylish fashion jewelry and gifts.

Wind’s designs have been featured in hundreds of publications over the years, as well as the permanent collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum, London; The Musée des Arts Decoratifs, Paris; and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
