West End Gallery

General information

Since 1975, the West End Gallery has showcased the works of leading Canadian painters and glass artists. Established by Dan and Lana Hudon in the west end of Edmonton, Alberta, the gallery has grown to include their son, Matthew, in 2005 and welcomed its newest staff member, Marissa, this past October. The West End Gallery is honored to commemorate its 40th anniversary this April, coinciding with our move to a new location. We are leaving our well-known Jasper Avenue locale after 35 years to join the other Edmonton galleries in the highly regarded 124th street Arts District, at 10337-124 street, Princeton Place.

In 1994, our second location was opened in the heart of downtown Victoria, British Columbia, on the corner of Broad and View. With gratitude and excitement the Victoria gallery hosted its 20th anniversary this past November with long time staff members Amy and Cole both celebrating 6 years with the gallery, and welcoming Kristi to the team. Although the majority of our artists' works are presented in both galleries, the expansion has allowed the West End Gallery to cater to the specific art needs of its clients in both western provinces.

The West End Gallery has an impressive roster of renowned, contemporary Canadian artists - many internationally recognized and considered important acquisitions to dedicated collectors. Our painters range from photo-realism to abstract, including figurative, landscape, and still life, encompassing a variety of media. Our outstanding and innovative glass artists distinguish themselves with their talent, technique, and high quality work. They present an array of remarkable glassworks with a multitude of form and function that can only be described as inspiring, alluring, and exhilarating.

The West End Gallery entertains an educated and discerning clientele, hosting two monthly solo exhibitions of artists supplemented by special evening previews, as well as hosting group and themed shows for veterans and newcomers alike to the Canadian art scene. It is our mandate to continue to provide an exceptional selection of Canadian painters and glass artists in the West End Gallery. Our collectors will always find works of lasting value and receive the very best in professional service from our dedicated staff.
