Sonoma Overlook Trail

General information

Sonoma Overlook Trail and Montini Preserve were not impacted by the Nunn's Fires of October 2017. The Sonoma Overlook trail is undergoing extensive rehabilitation, during which time the Trail will be temporarily closed. It is hoped part of the trail will be reopened to the public late October 2018. However, part of the trail will remain closed until Spring 2019, one wet season will help "cure" the work. The Montini Trail remains open. Please visit the overlookmontini.org website or the City of Sonoma website for the most up to date closure information. Overview Sonoma Overlook Trail offers a pleasant 3 mile hike with views of the Sonoma Valley. The trailhead is at the entrance to the Mountain Cemetary, just a few blocks north of the Sonoma Plaza. This property is adjacent to the Montini Open Space Preserve, providing for increased trail options.
