General information
Dave Wheeler, owner of Advanced Autosports, has been involved in professional Motorsports since 1987. I started Advanced Autosports in 19997 to serve the amateur road racer with professional quality repairs and maintenance work, at an affordable price.
Wheeler’s background has been everything from I.R.L. cars to I.T. cars. I started in open wheel Formula Atlantics and Formula Fords in 1987. In 1993 I began my long time association with the big ground pounders of the Trans-Am series.
In 2000 Advanced Autosports supported the Orion Motorsports team in the inaugural season of the Grand-American Road Racing Series. Competing in the AGT Class, several podium finishes and two pole positions where the highlights.
Since that time, Advanced Autosports has built more than 100 Spec Miata race cars and currently we maintain more than 30 cars for local drivers.
