ItaCast is an independent, family enterprise owned by the Massaro family of Moncton. At the helm of the company id Edoardo Massaro, who grew up and attended school in the world famous gold district of Valenza, Italy, with a jewellery-making history that dates back over 2000 years. Here, Edoardo complete an apprenticeship in jewellery making , honing skills which he brought to his new home in canada.Drawing over 50 years of experiences as a master into jewellery industry, Edoardo is joined in business by his two sons, Maudo ans Valerio who head a team of 12 employees which includes experienced goldsmiths ans diamond setters. All fully committed to highest level of customer service, this team imparts expert knowledge and personalized attention in helping every customer in making choices that celebrate all the milestone moments in life. ItaCast works with each client to design custom pieces to individual specifications, consulting on design features and style. Using the newest techniques in design and manufacturing as well as the latest in modern technological equipment, ItaCast can create unique items destined to become the heirloom pieces of generation to come. in keeping with a view to incorporating modern technology with the timeless art of jewellery making, in 2011 Itacast acquired the DWS 028J Digital Wax Pattern-making System utilizing CAD files that can translate computer-driven designs into 3D thermoplastic models suitable for modelling or casting. The first and only machine of it kind in Atlantic Canada, this new equipment makes for greater accuracy and creativity in design and for greater cost-effectiveness and time efficiency, which is a boon to the client. A prospective client can view his or her chosen design on a computer screen, adding or eliminating features online before the design is committed to the casting process. This new computerized step in creating jewellery now makes their company completely independent from out-sourcing, so that all their work is mow done in-house, and that makes for a greater saving to the custumer.
