En 2004, Caroline Néron a su mettre à profit sa créativité et son sens inné des affaires pour fonder sa compagnie de bijoux Caroline Néron. Dès ses débuts, elle aspirait à devenir une grande marque de renommée internationale. Ce n’est donc pas étonnant qu’après presque10 ans d’existence, l’entreprise compte 21 magasins de vente au détail à travers le Québec, un site transactionnel, une cinquantaine de points de vente et 150 employés.

Avec cette croissance rapide et son modèle d’affaires solide, on pourrait penser que Caroline Néron était faite pour le milieu des affaires. Toutefois, les choses n’ont pas commencé de cette façon. Ayant débuté sa carrière en tant qu’actrice et chanteuse, la chef d’entreprise est avant tout une artiste dans l’âme. Grâce à son entreprise, elle a trouvé la combinaison idéale pour mettre à profit son esprit artistique et son flair pour les affaires.

Distinctions

Au cours des dernières années, l’expansion fulgurante de sa compagnie et le récit captivant de son parcours ont attiré l’attention de plusieurs personnalités du milieu des affaires qui ont alors invité Caroline Néron à donner diverses conférences aux quatre coins du Québec. Elle a même été nommée, à l’automne 2012, Lauréate dans la catégorie Grande Entreprise du titre « Entrepreneure de l’année » au 12e concours du prixFemme d’affaires du Québec par le Réseau des Femmes d’affaires du Québec et Finaliste régionale pour le prix Entrepreneur d’Ernst & Young. En 2013, dans le classement PROFIT 500 des entreprises les plus en croissance, Caroline Néron arrive 11eau Canada et 1èreau Québec (représentant la première femme à se retrouver à la tête du classement de la province), et ce, avec une croissance de 3 138 %. La compagnie arrive également au 1er rang des « Leaders de la croissance » de L’actualité. Plus récemment encore, les magazines PROFIT et Châtelaine classent Caroline Néron au 6e rang du Top 100 des femmes entrepreneures au Canada.

Implication sociale

En plus de sa créativité, la chef d’entreprise a également su s’impliquer dans sa communauté en remettant, en quatre ans, 265 000 $ à des fondations luttant contre le cancer du sein. Elle est aussi impliquée avec la Fondation Mélio, qui vient en aide à des enfants handicapés, de même qu’avec Compensation CO2, en plantant un arbre à chaque vente de bijoux sélectionnés.

Quelle est la prochaine étape pour la chef d’entreprise?Grâce à sa vision dépassant les frontières de sa belle province, Caroline Néron travaille maintenant à pénétrer les marchés partout en Amérique du Nord et continue de développer le marché européen et asiatique.

By 2004, Caroline Néron was ready to make the most of her creativity and her innate sense for business, and launched her own private-label jewelry company, Caroline Néron. From the start, she aspired to become a major brand of international renown, so it is no surprise that after almost 10 years the company has 19 retail stores across Quebec, an online shopping site, 150 employees, and close to 50 outlets worldwide.

The company’s rapid growth and solid business model would make you think that Caroline Néron was naturally inclined for the competitive retail milieu. Truth is her career as an actress and singer was a success because she is first and foremost, an artist at heart. But Caroline is also a quick learner, and with time, she has grown with her company, fine tuning her artistic spirit and her flair for business to the perfect balance.

Honours

Over the past years, the company's rapid expansion and the compelling career of Caroline Néron,caught the eye of influencers within the business community who encouraged her to speak at various conferences across Quebec. In 2012, she received the Entrepreneur of the Year award for large businesses by Femme d’affaires du Québec (Women Entrepreneurs of Quebec), as well as the title of Regional Finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur award. In 2013, Caroline Néron ranked eleventh in Canada on PROFIT 500’s list of the fastest growing companies. This put her in the number one position amongst Quebec contenders and made her the first woman to ever lead the province. With 3,138% business growth, she has earned it. Likewise, the company was ranked number one on the Leaders of Growth list published by L’Actualité magazine. Most recently, PROFIT 500 and Châtelainemagazines recognized Caroline Néron with the honour of 6th place on the list of Top 100 Women Entrepreneurs in Canada.

Social involvement

Caroline has found that her creativity can be the catalyst for so many positive pursuits, notably her ability to get involved in the community, and by giving $265,000 in four years to various foundations that fight breast cancer. She is also involved with Foundation Mélio, which helps children with disabilities, as well as with Compensation CO2, with which she planted a tree for each sale of select jewelry made from 2012 to 2013.
