General information
We first opened our doors in Los Gatos, California in 1987 with the collaboration of three friends— Luis, Ignacio and Pedro— from the small village San José de Gracia in Central Mexico. Inspired by a desire to bring the food of our family kitchens to Bay Area locals, we did things the way we always had at home. Pots of beans and rice were put on the stove early each morning. Vegetables were selected, cleaned and flavored with fresh, seasonal herbs. The smells of salsa, tamales, enchiladas and grilled meats filled our kitchen. We made everything fresh each day.
Today, the next generation of Andalé carries on this early family tradition. Guests enjoy home cooked made-to-order items prepared with the freshest locally sourced, seasonal California-grown produce, organic free-range chicken, antibiotic-free poultry eggs, all natural beef and pork, and seasonal “wild” fresh fish—we feature daily specials, home made tortilla chips, guacamole, and nutritious salsa recipes. As always, Andalé uses rBGH-free dairy, non-GMO corn, no lard and has eliminated products containing hydrogenated oils.
