General information

Símeros is a company that believes in and is committed with the technological innovation. We have focused all our knowledge and creativity to develop ideas that actually bring improvements to the O&G industry. Our developments and services are specifically aligned with flexible pipes and umbilicals used in subsea systems. Working with such complex equipment led us to develop ourselves in various areas of knowledge, such as: mechanical, metallurgy, materials and electromechanical. It is worth noting that we have a lot of experience about developing and executing the most varied types of tests, whether used for investigative experiments or even for qualification purposes.

2009 - Foundation of the Company
In 2009, Símeros started its activities in Porto Alegre. The first step was to position itself in a consolidated way in the local market.

2010 - The first consultancies
Símeros carried out its first works with CAD and CAE consultancies, as well as instrumentation services. The differential was to offer comparative between numerical and experimental relations

2011 - The first job for the O&G market
In this year, Simeros was hired to instrument flexible pipe test samples. A high responsibility service tha was developed with total success, which helped to define the scope of the company' for the O&G sector.

2012 - INOVA PETRO Program
In 2012, Símeros made a partnership with TMSA, and together we submitted a proposal in the INOVA PETRO program provided by FINEP and BNDES, and supported technicaly by Petrobras. The project "Development of accessories for flexible pipe" was approved.

2013 - The End Fitting development.
In 2013, Simeros developed three international patents that together could define the TMSA-Símeros End Fitting for unbonded flexible pipes. In parallel, the company consolidated itself in the service market, developing and executing evaluation and qualification tests for flexible pipes.

2014 - TECNOVA-RS Program and the first international service
In the year 2014, Símeros submitted and was contemplated in the TECNOVA-RS program with the project "Development of a flexible pipe monitoring system for offshore application". In the same year, Simeros was hired by Prysmian to perform qualification tests on umbilicals according to ExxonMobil specifications.

2015 - The Laboratory of Tests
In 2015, Símeros had the opportunity to design and build its own testing laboratory. In the new space, Símeros performed several tests within the flexible pipe qualification program for GE Oil & Gas. In the same year, Símeros developed an important patent to automate end fittings assemblies.

2016 -Company internacionalization
Looking for new challenges, Símeros started an internationalization program, where several partnerships, in complementary areas, were established. The test laboratory was fully operational and new equipment was purchased. Another patent for fast anchoring of flexible pipes was developed, consolidating the maintenance of the company's innovation.

2017 - Commercial expansion
In 2017, Simeros is committed to disseminating its developments and expanding its activities. New innovations in products and services will be presented in this year.
