Sash Windows are designed and produced individually using carefully selected pine or oak. Oak is used as a standard for production of windowsills. Wood is simply the best material ensuring character, warmth, comfort and firm construction. As sash windows are double-glazed it means that the heat/sound is even better preserved. Security of sash windows is ensured by a strong frame and glazing by a one-chamber multiple glazing units from inside.

Sash windows consist of two sashes that can slide vertically along the frame. For that two high-quality Mighton balance operating mechanisms are available: lead plummets or spirals. Depending on your individual requirements many design and size options can be applied.

Casement Windows

Casement windows can be nominated as the most popular wooden window type in the United Kingdom. The reason is that they fit English weather perfectly and rank high in thermal performance.

These outward opening windows close up even harder to the inside in a windy weather thus securing warmth in the house. For a very stormy area Casement Storm-Proof windows are selected as they have thick sashes with moulded finish. For more “weather friendly” areas Casement Flush windows are an excellent choice.

To keep the highest standard of quality Casement windows are made from sustainably sourced pine or oak, depending on your choice. Double-glazing is used as a standard also credits for your home being warmer, less noisy and safer place whenever it is a ‘Victorian times’ heritage or a country cottage.

• Materials & Technology. Oak is used for the sills and pine is used for the sash frame and sash boxes. We also make windows from hard wood. We use a three-layer laminated wood. Three-layer wood technology provides a window frame deformation resistance and prolongs the period of use. The outer layers are radial or semi-radial cut, which protects the window surface from cracking. To glue the frames we use water resistant 4D class wood glue.
• Priming & Finishing. For the finish our windows are painted 4 layers. Waterproof undercoat, insulating primer and two coats of Rhenocoll micro-porous paint (Germany) in any RAL colour you choose.
Glazing. Windows are double pane. Inner glass 4-12Ar-4GNP (Energy saving glass unit) reliably protects against burglary. They are glazed from the inside, which means that the window glass cannot be removed from the outside. A part from standard energy saving glass units available selection is toughened, laminated and obscure glass.

• Ironmongery. We use Pickard hardware available in brass, brushed chrome or polished chrome

Doors quality also depends on ironmongery and mechanisms we use such as Banham locks, IPA, GU-922 and ROTO 6080 mechanisms.
