Place Road Garage offers MOTs to clients throughout the local area. The company, which is now based in Cowes. Originally started out as a mobile motor mechanic in 1986, by a Mr Bruce Burge. He has over 30 years of experience in the motor trade. And in 2011, decided to open an MOT Testing Station. Place Road Garage is the only modern ATL MOT Centre in Cowes.

The company is managed by Mr Bruce Burge who has been involved in the Motor trade for many years. Mr Bruce Burge is experienced enough to run the company, having previously worked as a Sole trader for over 30 years.

Place Road Garage has a growing network of clients, located throughout the Island, including WSM Associates, Island Medical Services, Romahome, Seawood Marine, Prices Taxis, RJR Electrical Services, Wotton Bridge Industries, KD Motors, A&P Conservatories and Stilman Construction. PRG's Clients also include a number of officers from the 3 main prisons, and staff from St Mary's Hospital.

Place Road Garage tests all classes of vehicles from motorcycles, right up to 40ft motorhomes, PRG is one of only 3 testing stations on the Isle of Wight, that utilises a pit to accomodate for larger vehicles. PRG also provides, services and repairs to all makes and models of vehicles. Including tyres, brakes, exhausts, batteries and clutches.

PRG offer products including; MOT testing, servicing and repairs, tyre fitting and balancing, welding and fabrication. PRG offers a Collection and Return service, so there is no need to leave your home or place of work, PRG also has a mobile card machine, so payment can be made on delivery of your car.

With just 5 hard working staff members, Place Road Garage has a growing team, highly skilled and qualified to a high standard.

Class 4 M.O.T £50.00
M.O.T test for: Car or small/medium size Campervan also includes quads and trikes.
Class 7 M.O.T £60.00
M.O.T test for: Up to 3.5 Ton Commercial vehicle and Large Motorhomes up to 40ft (including american R.V's)
