General information

The Huntsman's Dog and Cat Hotel is a long established family-run luxury boarding kennels and cattery, nestled on the South Downs at Findon, near Worthing. Our kennels and cattery are fully licensed. We have been established for more than 30 years, and are renowned for the great care that we provide to the pets that stay with us. As pet owners ourselves - we have bred Bernese Mountain Dogs since 1983 and Golden Retrievers before that - we treat our customers' pets as we do our own... As family.

Kennels
At the Huntsman's Dog and Cat Hotel, every one of our Luxury Boarding Kennels overlooks our tranquil, purpose-built Oriental Garden, which was designed with the safety of the dogs paramount. Our immaculate Kennels are all specialist-built to standards that exceed licensing regulations. Inside our insulated, double-glazed, brick buildings, each dog has its own bedroom and its own outdoor covered exercise run. We do not 'mix' dogs.
Here at the Huntsman's Dog and Cat Hotel, we are able to offer an additional walking service for our canine boarders in our own four-acre meadow. Fully enclosed, the meadow is adjacent to the Boarding Kennels, and it enables us to walk your dog individually, and in safety.

Cattery
In our Luxury Catteries at the Huntsman's Dog and Cat Hotel, we feed all of our cats the same individual diets that they eat at home. They are all groomed daily, ensuring that they leave us in at least as good a condition as when they arrived. We are experienced at administering medication in both tablet and injection form (e.g. insulin). Your cat's own toys and bedding are always welcome. We provide cuddles at no extra cost.
Our stunning Summer Catteries are situated well away from our kennels. They are fully covered and secure, and overlook picturesque waterfalls and rockeries. As well as the standard sized units, there are also larger family units for those who wish to keep their cats together during their stay.
Our indoor Winter Cattery is heated and double-glazed. With a beautiful garden and gentle running water features, it is a truly tranquil setting.

Hydrotherapy
The Huntsman's Dog and Cat Hotel operates a state-of-the-art Hydrotherapy underwater treadmill, to add to our excellence in caring for dogs who suffer from health problems. It is also excellent for improving and maintaining a dog's general fitness. The staff have been fully trained in Hydrotherapy, and have all of the necessary certificates of approval.

Hydrotherapy with an underwater treadmill can benefit dogs during pre and post operative cruciate ligament rupture, as well as those suffering from patella surgeries, TPLO, hip replacements, hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, osteoarthritis, obesity, CDRM (early stages only), soft tissue injuries (strains and sprains), neurological disorders, pre and post whelping bitches, and exercise-intolerant cases. Treatment can also provide mental stimulation, correct gait patterns, and improve the fitness and quality of life of the patient.
Our hydrotherapy unit is now open 6 days a week, Monday-Saturday.

Grooming
The modern state-of-the Grooming Parlour at the Huntsman's Dog and Cat Hotel is fully equipped with top of the range drying cabinets, stand-dryers, a walk-in shower, and a complete range of hand-held equipment. Bookings for the Grooming Parlour are by appointment only.
The grooming parlour is open 7 days a week.

At the Huntsman's Dog and Cat Hotel we stock the following brands of dog food: Nutriment, Burns, Acarna, Total Pet Foods and Holistic. Also available, raw meat supplied by John Wildman & Sons Butchers.
