The state of the art practice was opened in 2008 with full OPT 3D digital suite, central steraliztion facility with 'through the wall' instrument tranfer ensuring total patient saftey & full compliance with GDC, PCT & CQC best practice levels. BDA Good Practice status awarded in 2010, only one in 11 practices in the UK to hold this award.

All surgeries have digital intraoral cameras, Planmecca Dental chairs with luxury leather upholstery, patient monitors for DVD, TV viewing, Swedish anti-bacterial air conditioning system, Vis-ora digital real time imaging allowing you to see what we can achieve in seconds, and a ZOOM 2 whitening suite.

We aim to provide the highest level of patient treatment care in friendly, professional, and luxurious surroundings. Patients can choose either a drink from the cold bar or enjoy a cappucino whilst reading a wide selection of (up to date) magazines or watch a film, TV or sky TV prior to their appointment.

The practice is equipped with Sonos music system giving patients access to a chioce of over 10 million music tracks to listen to whilst undergoing treatment. We even offer a relaxing in-chair Indian head massage before or after your treatment, or at any time.

The clinic has a special interest in providing Bicon & Implantium Implants, Full Mouth Rehabilitations, all forms of cosmetic dentistry come as standard - e.max crowns and veneers, gum lift surgery, clearstep orthodontics, and natural looking dentures, in addition to general dentistry.

Dr Cox also has a Doctorate in Oral Cancer research and a wealth of experience in the field of pre-malignant lesions and their aetiology & diagnosis. Dr Cox is widely published in both UK and international peer-reviewed journals including several Oral Cancer textbooks and has lectured on Oral Cancer and Human Papilloma virus genetics both in the UK, Europe and the USA. Ferndale Dental Clinic also has a live internet feed to one of the countries top oral cancer specialists aiding the speedy diagnosis of suspicious lesions and prompt treatment.

The clinic is also unique in that we have a dedicated hygiene team consisting of 2 therapists and one hygieniest who are trained to the highest of levels to ensure that all our patients oral hygiene needs are catered for, forming the foundation of any definitive treatment plan.

We can also offer in house sedation with our allied team of Senior Consultant Anaesthetists 3M, who are the team at Southampton General Hospital.
