De Aar Solar Power in the Northern Cape supplies enough clean, renewable electrical energy to power more than 20 000 average homes.

The Kalkbult plant, situated in the Northern Cape region of South Africa, is one of the largest solar plants in Africa. Connected three months ahead of schedule, it was the first REIPPPP project to be grid connected and operational in South Africa.
